About the wood
Oak is one of the most widely used woods in Europe due to its large availability, high strength and moderate pricing. Oak wood has one of the best rot resistances of any type of wood found in Europe. To give this ring a special touch the Oak wood is split and then charred. The charred wood is then held together by a clear resin.
Note that the colour of your ring may slightly vary from the ones pictured above making each ring truly unique.How the ring is made
First the Oak is split vertically to the grain. The split wood is then charred and filled with a transparent resin which makes it possible to capture the wood in a much more fragile state than it is commonly presented in. Finally, the ring is carved and shaped by hand from the mixture of wood and resin before taking it through the finishing process.
The rings finish
The ring is finished with a mix of CA and water-resistant varnish, giving it some extra shine and protection. The ring is protected against occasional soaking. I strongly recommend taking it off when showering, washing your hands, doing manual labour or during the night.
Rings can be ordered in just about any size. If the desired size isn't available in the list, you can add your size as a note when ordering. To determine the correct ring size, I recommend seeking the help of any respected jeweller. It is very important that you choose the correct ring size when placing your order as these rings cannot be resized!
