About the materials
The ring is made of Macassar Ebony which is known for its dark, almost black, colour which can have streaks of lighter brown throughout its grain. It is also known as one of the most precious woods in the world. Additionally, this ring has an inlay made of Amber, gold leaf and brass.
Note that the colour of your ring and the pattern in the stone inlay may slightly vary from the ones pictured above making each ring truly unique.The bentwood technique explained
This ring is made by hand, using the bentwood technique. The wood is steamed and then bent around the circumference of the ring. The result of this process is a thin yet very strong ring. Note that there will always be a seam in every bentwood ring. This seam is more or less visible depending on the type of wood your ring is made of.
The rings finish
The ring is finished with a mix of CA and water-resistant varnish, giving it some extra shine and protection. The ring is protected against occasional soaking. I strongly recommend taking it off when showering, washing your hands, doing manual labour or during the night.
