About the wood

The ring is made of Macassar Ebony which is known for its dark, almost black, colour which can have streaks of lighter brown throughout its grain. The exposed core of the ring is made of white coloured Maple which gives the ring a nice contrast and a truly interesting shape.
Note that the colour of your ring may slightly vary from the ones pictured above making each ring truly unique.

The bentwood technique explained

This ring is made by hand, using the bentwood technique. The wood is steamed and then bent around the circumference of the ring. The result of this process is a thin yet very strong ring. Note that there will always be a seam in every bentwood ring. This seam is more or less visible depending on the type of wood your ring is made of. 

 

The rings finish

The ring is treated with several layers of water-resistant varnish. To maintain a very natural look and feel, excess varnish is removed after each application. This way the ring is protected against occasional soaking while maintaining its natural feel and enhancing its colours. We strongly recommend taking it off when washing hands, dealing with chemicals or for manual labour though.

Rings can be ordered in just about any size. If the desired size isn't available in the list, you can add your size as a note when ordering. To determine the correct ring size, I recommend seeking the help of any respected jeweller. It is very important that you choose the correct ring size when placing your order as these rings cannot be resized!

Your ring will be ready for shipping 5 to 9 business days after purchase (Excluding delivery times). All rings are shipped as priority mail through the Swiss postal service. Delivery times will take 1-2 business days.
